Main Street - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
MAIN STREET,
MIDDLETON BY WIRKSWORTH
WHEN: Sunday 21 September and Sunday 28 September 2025 (between 09:30 and 15:30 each Sunday).
WHERE: Main Street, Middleton by Wirksworth between No.18a and No. 48.
REASON: To facilitate fibre cabling works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Main Street, Porter Lane B5035, The Hill B5036, A5020 Via Gellia, New Road B5023 and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
