Steep Turnpike - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
STEEP TURNPIKE, MATLOCK
WHEN: 30 September to 02 October 2025 (between 08:00 and 16:00 each day).
WHERE: Steep Turnpike, Matlock between Jct. with A632 and No. 41.
REASON: To facilitate gas disconnection.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Steep Turnpike, Causeway Lane, Matlock Green, Lime Tree Road, Sherwood Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
