ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE A13 GLA ROAD (COMMERCIAL ROAD, LONDON BOROUGH OF TOWER HAMLETS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF STOPPING) (NO.2) ORDER 2025

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is to enable electrical works to take place at A13 The Highway side road Heckford Street.

3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from stopping in the:

(1) Parking and Disabled Persons vehicles bay outside Nos.167 – 177 Commercial Road;

(2) Loading Bay outside Nos.327 – 337 Commercial Road;

(3) Parking and Disabled Persons vehicles bays outside Nos.193 – 225 Commercial Road;

(4) Parking and Disabled Persons vehicles bay outside Nos.235 – 255 Commercial Road;

(5) Parking and Disabled Persons vehicles bay on Commercial Road outside No.21 Brayford Square;

(6) Parking and Disabled Persons vehicles bay outside No. 543 Commercial Road.

The Order also permits all vehicles to use the bus lanes on Commercial Road between its junctions with New Road and Pitsea Street.

The Order will be effective at certain times between 15th September 2025 and 19th September 2025, each night, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM (ceasing at 5:00 AM on 19th September 2025) or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibition will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

1. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:

(1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.
