What is happening?

The Common (D5527) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 5 September 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of The Common (D5527) Haslemere.
Alternative Route – Blackdown Lane and Haste Hill, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate drainage works and associated works. These works are anticipated to begin as soon possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 26 September 2025 for 4 weeks. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Fifield Lane (D113) and Kennel Lane (D114) Frensham Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 5 September 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in:- (a) the entire length of Fifield Lane (D113) Frensham Farnham; and (b) that length of Kennel Lane (D114) Frensham Farnham as extends from its junction with Fifield Lane (D113) to a point 100 metres north of this junction.
Alternative Route – (a) A287 Frensham Road, Shortfield Common Road, West End Lane and Hamlash Lane, or this route in reverse. (b) A287 Frensham Road and Fifield Lane, or this route in reverse.This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate desilting and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out in two phases during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 September 2025 for 5 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 2.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Green Lane (D5341) Badshot Lea
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Green Lane (D5341) Badshot Lea as extends from its junction with Bartlett Avenue (X11314) to its junction with Badshot Lea Road (B3208).
Alternative Route – B3208 (Badshot Lea Road and Monkton Lane), B3367 (Monkton Lane), B3007 (Weybourne Road) and Lower Weybourne Lane, or this route in reverse.This Order is required to enable SSE to facilitate installation of 33KV line and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 6 October 2025 for 3 months, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

D5517 Church Lane, Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D5517 Church Lane, Haslemere that extends from its junction with D5517 Church Green, to its junction with D5518 Beech Road. This Traffic Order is required by Volkerhighways/Network Rail to enable rail works at the “Church Lane Railway Bridge”, to include: – drainage, jetting, CCTV works and/or repair and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 4am and 11:59pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives. Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) Public Footpath 32 (Haslemere)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 04 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 32 (Haslemere) which extends from Grid ref: 488015 132683 to its junction with Critchmere Lane, Grid ref: 488065 132690.The Order is necessary to enable renewal of electrical cables.The closure will be in operation for a period of 2 months from 08 September 2025 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.The alternative route for traffic from Grid ref: 488015 132683: head north and then in a generally easterly direction along Public Footpath 33 (Haslemere).The alternative route for traffic from the junction with Critchmere Lane will be the reverse of the route described above.“The Surrey County Council Public Footpath 32 (Haslemere) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.Dated: 11 September 2025
