THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (PROHIBITION OF STOPPING OUTSIDE SCHOOLS) (AMENDMENT No. ) ORDER 202

ST JAMES’S AVENUE, HAMPTON HILL

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames proposes to make the above Orders under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effect of the Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools Order will be to replace the existing School Keep Clear Markings outside and opposite Hampton Hill Junior School which will operate between 8am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays.

  3. The general effects of the Waiting and Loading Restrictions Order will be to introduce new lengths of double yellow lines in St James’s Avenue in and around a new raised table.

  4. Copies of further particulars giving details to the proposals:-

    (a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 25/158, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

    (b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices

  5. Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to the Head of Engineering, Traffic and Parking Policy, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ within 28 days of the date of this Notice giving the grounds of their objection. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Road Closure

Charles Street, Mortlake,

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Charles Street, Mortlake.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Charles Street, Mortlake from the junction with White Hart Lane to the junction with Cross Street.

  3. Whilst Charles Street, Mortlake is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Cross Street, Thorn Street, White Hart Lane and vice versa.

  4. The order will come into effect on 08 September 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 08 September to 12 September 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Towpath Closure

Adjacent to Ham Street Car Park,

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate Environment Agency works at Teddington Lock they intend to make a temporary Notice, the effect of which is to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic and pedestrians on a length of the towpath along the River Thames Adjacent to Ham Street Car Park.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall enter or proceed on the riverside towpath from a point at the north-west corner of Ham street car park westwards for a distance of 30 metres.

  3. The order will come into effect on 15 September 2025 and stay in force for 6 months, the closures will be in place around the compound and is likely to apply for four hours at any one time.

  4. An alternative route for pedestrians will be provided around the compound.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used, or any person in connection with the execution of the said works;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used, or any person needing access for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Road Closure

Maze Road, Kew,

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate telecoms works, they have made a Temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Maze Road, Kew.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Maze Road, Kew at the junction with Forest Road.

  3. Whilst Maze Road, Kew is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Forest Road, Priory Road, Maze Road and vice versa.

  4. The order will come into effect on 10 September 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 10 September to 12 September 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Waiting Restrictions

Ranelagh Drive, Twickenham

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate horticultural maintenance, they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Ranelagh Drive, Twickenham.

  2. Whilst the Order is in effect, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or stand at any time in Ranelagh Drive, on its southwestern side, from the junction with St Margarets Drive to its junction with The Avenue.

  3. The order will come into effect on 15 September 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress on 15 September 2025 only. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate remedial water works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Riverside, Twickenham.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Riverside, Twickenham from outside Riverside House, westwards for a distance of 44 metres to outside Woodcut.

  3. The order will come into effect on 08 September 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 08 September to 12 September 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
