Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D3568 Whitmoor Road, Bagshot. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway pre-patching and/or surface dressing and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will be permitted/directed at the direction of the gatemen on-site. There is no diversion route available for this road closure.
