What is happening?

 THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC CARR LANE LEVEL CROSSING, BROOMFLEET

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Carr Lane Level Crossing, Broomfleet and 20 metres either side of the level crossing commencing 5 October 2025 between 00.15 hours until 08.05 hours to allow for uplift of the level crossing for tamper HUL1 1100-14M30CH-15M30CH works.

The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with

ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within eight hours.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Carr Lane, Common Lane, Common Road, Millbeck Bank, Ings Lane, Ellerker Road and Main Street, Broomfleet CP, South Cave CP, Howdenshire Ward, Dale Ward.

The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
