What is happening?

  1. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 08 September 2025 and of all associated documents can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, 3rd Floor, Zone C, Bernard Wetherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk

  2. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF NEW OR AMENDMENT OF EXISTING PARKING BAYS & WAITING RESTRICTIONS

VARIOUS LOCATIONS WITHIN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON

The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No. F29) Order 20–

The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No. F30) Order 20–

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be:

(a) To introduce new or amend existing parking places in the locations detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.

(b) To adjust existing restrictions to accommodate the new or amended arrangements where necessary.

(c) To amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

  1. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Wetherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design).   2. Persons desiring to object or make representations in relation to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Order Making Section, Parking Design Team, Place Department, Croydon Council, Floor 3, Zone C, Bernard Wetherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1EA or email Parking design (address above) quoting the reference PD/CH/F29 & F30 by 25 September 2025.

  3. The proposed Orders are intended to introduce new or amend existing parking bays to improve parking and access. The Orders are also intended to introduce new waiting restrictions to prevent obstruction of access and sightlines where appropriate and to amend existing restrictions to accommodate the new arrangements where necessary.
