AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
HERMITAGE ROAD, KENLEY
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a new water supply by SES Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Hermitage Road, Kenley.
Whilst the said works are taking place, Hermitage Road will be closed outside Wrenwood Court, No. 38 Hermitage Road.
During the closure traffic will be diverted via Hermitage Road, Kenley Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 22 September 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 26 September 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
The restriction will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

BRIGHTON ROAD, COULSDON - TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to install bridge protection beams on rail bridge VTB-84, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Brighton Road, Coulsdon.
During the work:
a) Brighton Road will be closed to vehicular traffic between the entrance to Coulsdon South Station and the roundabout at the junction with Marlpit Lane.
b) The footway of Brighton Road will be closed between the entrance to Coulsdon South Station and the roundabout at the junction with Marlpit Lane.
Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Brighton Road and Farthing Way. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure will be directed to the opposite footway.
The Order will come into operation on 07 September 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed as shown below, finishing on 31 October 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle or person involved in conducting the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

PURLEY DOWNS ROAD, PURLEY
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main connection works by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Purley Downs Road, Purley.
Whilst the said works are taking place Purley Downs Road will be closed outside No. 33 Purley Downs Road.
During the closure, vehicular traffic will be diverted as detailed below.
Via Brighton Road, Purley Road, Godstone Road, Downs Court Road, Mitchley Avenue, Rectory Park, Sandercstead Hill and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 08 September 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 14 September 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No. 18) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 01 September 2025 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.
The general effect of the Orders will be to:
a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 2 Ashley Road, Thornton Heath, No. 64 Beauchamp Road, Upper Norwood, No. 161 Beauchamp Road, Upper Norwood, No. 67 Clarendon Road, Croydon, No. 33 Edward Road, Croydon, No. 181 Gloucester Road, Croydon, No. 32 Grove Road, Thornton Heath, No. 84 Headcorn Road, Thornton Heath, No. 38 Lansdowne Road, Purley, No. 84 Norbury Avenue, Thornton Heath, No. 46 Wentworth Road, Croydon, and No. 7 Weston Close, Coulsdon.
b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.
