What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

Town and Country Planning Act 1990 Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (England) Regulations 2007

1. The Mayor and Burgess of the London Borough of Barnet has submitted to the Secretary of State for approval an order revoking the Area of Special Control which affect the land in the Wards of Barnet Vale, Brunswick Park, Burnt Oak, Childs Hill, Colindale North, Colindale South, Cricklewood, East Barnet, East Finchley, Edgware, Edgwarebury, Finchley Church End, Friern Barnet, Garden Suburb, Golders Green, Hendon, High Barnet, Mill Hill, Totteridge Woodside, Underhill, West Finchley, West Hendon, Whetstone and Woodhouse, shown on the attached plan.

2. A copy of the revocation order and the statement of the Council's reasons for making it have been published on the Council website (www.barnet.gov.uk/planning-and-building-control/planning-policies-and-local-plan/ withdrawal-area-special-control) and deposited at Barnet's Colindale office, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, NW9 4EW and will be available for inspection there, free of charge, between the hours of 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on working days during the period of 4th September 2025 to 2 October 2025.

3. Any objection to the revocation order must be made in writing, stating the grounds of objection, and sent to the to the Planning Casework Unit via email to pcu@communities.gov.uk or the postal address Planning Casework Unit, 4th Floor, 23 Stephenson Street, Birmingham, B2 4BH, quoting the reference 'The London Borough of Barnet (Area of Special Control Revocation Order) Order 2025 (Order 1 of 2025) before 2 October 2025.
