What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1069 SNAPE ROAD, FRISTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1069 Snape Road, Friston from 500 metres north of the junction
with the A1094 for 200 metres northbound to facilitate the installation of ducts. Other co-ordinated works may also take
place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be via the A1094, the B1121 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closures will operate from
01/09/2025 – 08/09/2025 from 10pm - 6am
11/09/2025 – 15/09/2025 from 10pm - 6am
18/09/2025 – 22/09/2025 from 10pm - 6am.
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 4, GLEMHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing Footpath 4 Glemham near Church Road for 130 metres south westbound to facilitate safe movement of vehicles for the food production scheme. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion route will be available on site.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/09/2025 – 14/03/2026 (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C528 CRANLEY ROAD, EYE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
the C528 Cranley Road, Eye from 50 metres east of the water tower for 150 metres eastbound
the C528 Cranley Road, Eye from 150 metres east of the C528 to Mill Cottages
the C528 Cranley Road, Eye from the 5610 to Kings Farm.
This is to facilitate telecommunication pole testing works.
Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Church Road, Woodsend Road, Park Road, Church Corner, Church road from the C533 to the
C531 etc. The Street, Bucks Green, the B1077 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 05/09/2025 from 10am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force
for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE FOOTWAY BETWEEN BELMONT ROAD AND APPLEBY CLOSE, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the footway between Belmont Road and Appleby Close, Ipswich from 70 to facilitate gas replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion route will be Appleby Close, Eccles Road, Belmont Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/09/2025 – 03/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4416 The Lane, Bramford from The Channel for 30 metres
eastbound to facilitate a fibre network connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be via the B1113, Bramford Way, B1113 Paper Mill Lane, The Channel and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/09/2025 – 26/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force
for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C606 Mildenhall Road, West Row from the junction with Beeches Road to the junction with Victoria Close to facilitate a new sewer connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Jarmans Lane, Beeches Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/09/2025 – 26/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force
for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A134 SPRINGLANDS WAY, SUDBURY
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A134 Springlands Way, Sudbury from the A134 Long Melford Bypass, Long Melford to Clement Avenue Roundabout to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A134, the A131 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/09/2025 – 17/09/2025 from 7am – 5am a future closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1123 HALESWORTH ROAD, CHEDISTON
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1123 Halesworth Road, Chediston from 100 metres east of the junction with Godfreys Hill for 220 metres westbound to facilitate a water mains replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be via the B1116, the B1117 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/09/2025 – 26/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force
for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U8058 Ninton Road, Darsham from 87 metres east of the A12 to the A12 for 300 metres eastbound to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/09/2025 – 26/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C956 Queens Road, Southwold from the junction with Constitution Hill for 100 metres northbound to facilitate the installation of a new electricity supply. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be via Gardners Road, Godlyll Road, York Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/09/2025 – 17/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C683 The Hill, Stanstead from 60 metres south of St Marys View for 60 metres southbound to facilitate access to an overhead structure for a telecommunication pole test. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Upper Street, Shimpling Road, Stanstead Road, Mill Hill, Little Thatchers, Slough Hill, The Street, Bunkers Hill, Cockfield Road, Shimpling Road, the A134, the A1092, the B1066 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/09/2025 from 9:30am – 3:30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C496, IPSWICH ROAD AND THE C492 NORWICH ROAD, CLAYDON AND BARHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order suspending the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the following roads:
• the C496 Ipswich Road, Claydon
• the C492 Norwich Road, Claydon
• the C492 Norwich Road, Barham from Norwich Road, Claydon to Church Lane, Barham.
This is to facilitate resurfacing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
It is intended that this measure will operate from 15/09/2025 – 04/10/2025 from 8pm - 6am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/09/2025 – 19/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads and the following phases:
U8009 Moat Lane, Rougham from the junction with Kingshall Street to no. 5
C694 Rougham Road, Bradfield St George from the junction with Kingshall Street to Bonds Yard
U8014 Kingshall Street, Bradfield St George from the junction with Kingshall Street to Boreham.
This is to facilitate fibre network installations. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
For Moat Lane - The Green, Eastlowe Hill, Linkwood Road, Bury Road, Church Road, Rougham Road, Kingshall Street and vice versa.
For Rougham Road - Church Road, Bury Road, Linkwood Road, Eastlowe Hill, The Green, High Rougham and vice versa.
For Kingshall Street - Nether Street, the B014 from the C694 to the B013, Hessett Road, Kingshall Green, Church Road, Bury Road, Linkwood Road, Eastlowe Hill, The Green and vice versa.
It is intended that the closures will operate from:
16/09/2025 – 24/09/2025
23/09/2025 – 27/10/2025
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/09/2025 – 17/09/2025, from 9:30am – 3:30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 30mph speed restriction on the A12, Martlesham from the junction with the A1214 Main Road roundabout to the junction with Anson Road roundabout to facilitate resurfacing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
It is intended that this measure will operate from 15/09/2025 – 03/10/2025 (7pm – 5am) but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
