Sheep Gate Drive, Temporary Road Closure Due To Resurfacing Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1)

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (SHEEPGATE DRIVE, TOTTINGTON) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:–

Sheepgate Drive, Tottington – full length

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works

There will be no alternative route as it’s a cul-de-sac road

The proposed Order will come into operation on 22/09/2025 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 5 weeks.
