THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS
(OLD WARGRAVE ROAD, NEWTON LE WILLOWS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, ORDER 2025)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 19th day of August, 2025, the St. Helens Borough Council made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit a vehicle to proceed in either direction along Old Wargrave Road between The Crossings and Sunbeam Street, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.
The Order will come into force on Monday 20th October 2025, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to take two weeks.
The reason for making this Order is to facilitate LV and HV electricity reinforcement.
