Viver Lane, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Bridge Examination Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (C5074 VIVER LANE, HINCASTER) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable bridge examination works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C5074 Viver Lane, Hincaster for a distance of 25m either side of the centre line of the bridge.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the C5071 Harry Brow, U5659 Well Heads Lane and the unrestricted section of the C5074 Viver Lane.

The Order will come into operation on 21st September 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day, during the hours of 0800 and 1600 and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
