What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (WOODHOUSE LANE, HEVERSHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of Woodhouse Lane, from its junction with Moss Side Road, extending in an easterly direction for approx. 65 metres.

A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via the A6 Princes Way and the C5072.

The Order will come into operation on 24th September 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
