Hunderton Avenue, Temporary Road Closure Due To Drainage Installation Works

What is happening?

Notice of Intention

NOTICE Is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order U82002, Hunderton Avenue, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U82002, Hunderton Avenue, Hereford, from the junction of the A465 Belmont Road to Maybank Mews. Grid Ref: 350226/238824.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Belmont Road onto Beattie Avenue onto Hunderton Road and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to private drainage installation works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come Into force on 29th of September 2025 and remain In force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 week.
