(MITCHELDEAN PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C33 Bradley Court from outside of the property known as ‘Bradley Court Farm to outside of the property known as Forest Court Nursing Home’ for a distance of approximately 500 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for drainage works. The said road is expected to be closed from 15th September 2025 to 19th September 2025 or until the works have been completed. The reason for the said closure is for underground cable works The said road is expected to be closed from 15th September 2025 until 26th September 2025 only or until the said works have been completed. The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water. The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 18th September 2025 to 17:00hrs on 19th September 2025 or until the works have been completed. TEMPORARY CLOSURE C355 NEW ROAD
(AWRE PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C355 New Road from its junction with Furnace Valley to its junction with Pitching Green for a distance of approximately 913 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for excavation works to rectify failing road crossings. The said road is expected to be closed from 17th September 2025 until 19th September 2025 only or until the said works have been completed. EMERGENCY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH FLY18 & FLY 21
(LYDNEY TOWN) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended)) part of Public Footpath FLY 18 from its junction with Footpath FLY 19 and then extends in a generally easterly direction for approximately 30 metres to its junction with Footpath FLY 21 (Point B on Order Plan) and continues as Public Footpath FLY 21 for approximately 95 metres in a northerly direction to its junction with Public Footpath FLY 24 as shown on the Map by a bold solid black line marked A to B to C. The said Public Footpath falls within Town of Lydney in the Forest of Dean District and in the County of Gloucestershire. The closure is necessary to safeguard the health and safety of the public due to an unsafe bridge. The said Public Footpath was originally closed for 21 days by Notice from 20th August 2025. Works to rectify the problem have still not been completed and so it is now necessary to make a Temporary Closure Order.
This Order can authorise the closure for up to six months from the date of the original Notice. This Order comes into effect on the 10th September 2025. If the said works are not completed within six months, then it will be necessary to make an application to the Secretary of State for an extension to the Order. Alternative Routes – as indicated on the Order Map by a dashed black line C to D to E to F to A. Pedestrian access to adjacent properties and emergency access will be maintained at all times.

The reason for the said closures is for broadband and telecommunication works. The said roads are expected to be closed from 30th September 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether they are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 7th October 2025, or until the said works have been complete.
