Burnham High Street & Station Road, Burnham-on-Crouch - Temporary Road Closures due to Carnival

PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

TOWN POLICE CLAUSES ACT 1847 s 21.

Burnham Carnival 2025

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed to temporarily close:

Burnham High Street (B1021) from the junction with Chapel Road to the junction with Riverside Road during the hours of 07:00 - 22:00. Ship Road closed but with resident access only.

An alternative route is offered via Chapel Road, Western Road, Orchard Road & Riverside Road until 17:30.

In addition to the above, Station Road (B1021) just past the junction with Alexandra Road to High Street, Devonshire Road, Arcadia Road, Dunkirk Road, Orchard Road, Riverside Road, Silver Road, Belvedere Road & High Street to junction with Silver Road are closed during the hours of 17:30 - 22:00.

From 17:30 to 22:00 traffic may turn left onto Alexandra Road for access to Eastern Road, Pippins etc. or by turning right into Station Car Park for access to Foundry Lane, Fairway Drive, Hillside Road etc.

No alternative diversion routes are available after the commencement of the illuminated procession.

The proposed closures will take place on Saturday 27th September 2025.
