What is happening?
PROVISION OF PUFFIN CROSSING ON NOTTINGHAM ROAD, HUCKNALL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes to install a signalised puffin crossing on Nottingham Road, Hucknall in the District of Ashfield. The proposals will incorporate a controlled area, indicated by zig-zag markings along the carriageway where parking, stopping and loading will be prohibited. The extents of the
controlled areas are:-
Nottingham Road, Hucknall (the north-east side)
From a point 3 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb line of Jenny Burton Way in a north-westerly direction for 46 metres.
Nottingham Road, Hucknall (the south-west side)
From a point opposite a point 3 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb line of Jenny Burton Way in a north-westerly direction for 46 metres.
The proposed Puffin Crossing will replace the existing refuge for both pedestrians and cyclists accessibility when crossing over Nottingham Road, as well as improving safety. Further details can be found by visiting the County Council’s Website (
