High Street and Church Street, Dunster - Temporary restrictions due to reinstatement of gas mains

Temporary Closure of High Street and Church Street
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along High Street - from the junction with The Ball to the junction with Church Street and Church Street- from the junction with High Street to the junction with St Georges Street. A total distance of 403 metres.
This Order will enable Walton Civil Engineering to carry out interim to permanent reinstatement gas mains works on behalf of Wales & West Utilities.
The Order becomes effective on 26th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 29th September 2025 and last until 30th September 2025 between the hours of 19:00 - 07:00 for a total of 1 night.
