Lammack Road, Blackburn - Temporary Road Closure due to Gas Mains Replacement

What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN

LAMMACK ROAD, BLACKBURN

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, intend to make the above Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order is to close Lammack Road for the following extent: From Outside 217 Lammack Road to its junction of Barker Lane.

The closure is necessary for the following reason: Gas mains replacement

The Order will come into force on 22nd September 2025 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 17th October 2025.

The alternative route for the affected traffic will be Ramsgreave Drive, Pleckgate Road, Whalley New Road, Ramsgreave Road, Higher Ramsgreave Road and vice versa.

Another alternative route for the affected traffic will be via: Yew Tree Drive, Preston New Road, Sir Frederick Page Way, A59, Mellor Brow, Mellor Lane and vice versa.

Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
