City Of Bristol - Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles Temporary Suspension Of One Way Traffic

What is happening?

CITY OF BRISTOL

(HOLLISTERS DRIVE, HARTCLIFFE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Hollisters Drive which extends from a point 34 metres north of Bishport Avenue northwards for 28 metres.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 10th November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 10th November 2025 and 14th November 2025).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Hollisters Drive (part unaffected), Bishport Avenue, Hareclive Road, Hollisters Drive (part unaffected) and vice versa

(LONG ROW, REDCLIFF, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY FOOT PASSENGERS) (ST. THOMAS STREET, REDCLIFF, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be:

1. to close, temporarily to pedestrians that length of Long Row which extends from St. Thomas Street to Victoria Street; and

2. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of St. Thomas Street which extends from St. Thomas Street East to Victoria Street. Exemption will be provided in the Order for vehicles or pedestrians requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from those closed lengths of road and footway as specified above.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and will be operative from 28th September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place during the periods specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice).

SCHEDULE 1 – Durations
Long Row – between 28th September 2025 and 6th February 2026
St. Thomas Street– on multiple occasions and will be of 1 to 2 days duration for each closure within the period between 28th September 2025 and 6th February 2026

Long Row (footway) – Victoria Street, St. Thomas Street East, St. Thomas Street (part unaffected) St. Thomas Street
– northbound – Saint Thomas Street East, Victoria Street

(LACEY ROAD, STOCKWOOD, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to restrict, temporarily, any vehicle waiting between the hours of 7.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Monday to Friday (inclusive) in the length of road as specified in the Schedule to this Notice (subject to specified exemptions).

The Order is required because development works are being or proposed to be executed on or near the road, along with the subsequent requirement to facilitate safe access and egress for works vehicles and will be operative from 6th October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restriction may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 6th October 2025 and 10th August 2026).

(ALPHA ROAD, SOUTHVILLE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be:-

1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Alpha Road which extends from Coronation Road to Southville Road; and

2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing one way traffic working in a southerly direction in Alpha Road, from Coronation Road to Southville Road, so as to allow access and egress for works vehicles.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 10th October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 10th October 2025 and 17th October 2025).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Coronation Road, Dean Lane, Southville Road

(SYDENHAM LANE, COTHAM, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Sydenham Lane which extends from the common boundary line of No.147 and No.149 Sydenham Lane to the common boundary line of No.159 Cheltenham Road and Cheltenham House, No.161 Cheltenham Road.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 29th September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 29th September 2025 and 10th October 2025).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sydenham Lane (part unaffected), Nugent Hill, Sydenham Road, Sydenham Lane (part unaffected) and vice versa
