What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON HARRINGTON STREET, DERBY
WHEN: 13 October 2025 to 15 October 2025
WHERE: Harrington Street, at its junction with Princes Street
REASON: Carriageway works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Harrington – Portland Street – Peartree Street – Princes Street (and the same in the opposite direction)
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON BURTON ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 08 October 2025 to 22 October
WHERE: Spa Lane, from its junction with Burton Road
REASON: Gas works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Burton Road – Gerard Street – Grey Street – Spa Lane (and the same in the opposite direction)
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON FIELD LANE, DERBY
WHEN: 06 October 2025 to 20 October 2025
WHERE: Field Lane, from the junction of Shardlow Road
REASON: Gas works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Courtland Drive – Boulton Lane – Shardlow Road (and the same in the opposite direction)
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON STATION ROAD (SPONDON), DERBY
WHEN: 06 October 2025 to 07 October 2025 (23:00pm to 06:00am)
WHERE: Station Road: Spondon, closed at the level crossing
REASON: Railway Works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Station Road – Holme Lane – Celanese Road – Megaloughton Lane – E Service Road – A5111 – Derby Road (A6005) – Station Road (and the same in the opposite direction)
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON PRINCE CHARLES AVENUE, DERBY
WHEN: 01 October 2025
WHERE: Prince Charles Avenue, near its junction with Collingham Gardens
REASON: Drainage works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Prince Charles Avenue – Acton Road – Westbourne Park – A52 (and the same in the opposite direction)
