What is happening?

BOROUGH OF RUNNYMEDE (OFFSTREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT) (NO.3) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Runnymede Borough Council propose to make the above-named Order under Sections 32 and 35(1) and (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act.

The effect of this Final Order will be to amend the Borough of Runnymede (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2008 to incorporate the following Car Parks:

• Beomonds Car Park, Heriot Road, Chertsey, KT16 9BU

• Chertsey Library Car Park, Heriot Road, Chertsey, KT16 9DR

• Egham Library Car Park, Fairhaven, Egham, TW20 9EA

• Gogmore Farm Park, Curfew Bell Road, Chertsey, KT16 9FG

• Hummer Road Car Park, Hummer Road, Egham, TW20 9BW

• Pooley Green Recreation Ground, Thorpe Lea Road, Egham TW20 8HA

• Memorial Gardens Car Park Station Parade, Virginia Water, GU25 4AB

• St Jude’s Road Car Park, St Jude’s Road, Englefield Green, TW20 0BY

• Victoria Street Car Park, Englefield Green, TW20 0QX

• Waspe Farm Car Park, Station Road, Egham, TW20 9LF

• Woodland Car Park (St Peter’s Hospital), Guildford Road, Lyne, Chertsey KT16 0PP

In respect of

•A single flat fee of £2.00 for evening and overnight charges from 6.00pm to 8.00am

•The introduction of an evening parking permit scheme, with a limit of 20 permits available per car park at an annual cost of £100.00

The Order came into operation on 1 September 2025.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant sections of the Act of 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of those sections or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act has not been complied with in relation to the making of the Order may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made (such date mentioned above) make application for the purpose to the High Court.
