Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Summer Lane, Banwell, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 19 September 2025

Ref: T25-42

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for works access and as works permit access to premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon increased traffic levels during work by North Somerset Council that requires a prohibition of use by vehicles on Wolvershill Road. This will become operative on the 15 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 40 weeks in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Summer Lane from the junction with Knightcott Road to the junction with Wolvershill Road.

Alternative Routes - Knightcott Road, Locking Moor Road, Somerset Avenue, Churchill Way, Wolvershill Road and vice-versa.

Wolvershill Road, Banwell, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Pedestrians Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 19 September 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and equestrians the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for works access, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of works being executed on and near the road by North Somerset Council to construct Banwell Bypass including associated utilities diversions. North Somerset Council are satisfied that the execution of the works in question will take 18 months. This will become operative on the 19 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 40 weeks in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Wolvershill Road from Court Farm to Stonebridge Farm.

Alternative Routes - Wolvershill Road, West Street, Knightcott Road, Locking Moor Road, Somerset Avenue, Churchill Way, Wolvershill Road and vice-versa.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Bristol Road (B3440) and West Wick, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary 30mph Speed Limit Order and Prohibition of Overtaking Order 2025

Date coming into force: 6 October 2025

Ref: T25-44

Will be to restrict, temporarily any vehicles from exceeding 30mph and prohibit them from overtaking on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services.

The above restriction is necessary in the interest of public safety and the facilitation of road works as part of the BSIP (Bus Service Improvement Plan) works being undertaken by North Somerset Council. This order will become operative on the 6 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule - B3440 Bristol Road, Weston-Super-Mare from the eastbound slip road junction with A370 Somerset Avenue to the centre of Bristol Road’s junction with Shepherds Way. B3440 Bristol Road, Weston-Super-Mare the entirety of the eastbound slip road and the return slip to its junction with A370 Somerset Avenue. West Wick, Weston-super-Mare from its junction with B3440 Bristol Road for approximately 20m.

Lawrence Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 6 November 2025

Ref: SW25-26-139

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to safe working area for engineers to access carriageway box to provide service to a customer. This order will become operative on the 6 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council for Wall repairs. This order will become operative on the 10 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to replace a cover. This order will become operative on the 18 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to change a pole. This order will become operative on the 15 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for cabling works. This order will become operative on the 15 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 nights in duration between 6pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary One-Way Restriction Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 17 September 2025

Will be to restrict temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to carry out cable works. This order will become operative on the 17 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Walliscote Grove Road - traffic will be restricted to proceeding eastbound from Union Street to Walliscote Road.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 16 September 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This order will become operative on the 16 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Kewstoke Road from junction with Norton Lane, road closed westwards for approximately 245m.
