Beeston Footpath No.63 - Temporary Prohibition
What is happening?
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BEESTON FOOTPATH NO.63) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER NO.2 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
No person shall: - Proceed on foot, in the following length of Footpath at Beeston in the Borough of Broxtowe:-
Beeston Footpath No.63 from the Sewage Works to the Canal Bridge (as shown on the attached Plan).
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:-
From 17th September 2025 until 16th March 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no alternative route. The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath. It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.
The prohibition is required to protect public safety while ongoing development takes place around the footpath.
THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED
