What is happening?

KIRKLEES COUNCIL
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – SECTION 90 A-F SCAR LANE, GOLCAR

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Kirklees Council propose to introduce the following traffic calming features on Scar Lane Golcar.

Feature 1 of 8 – A set of 2 speed cushions with tapered sides separated by minimum 1m distances, each being 75mm high, 3.5m long and 1.6m wide, positioned from a point 11 m east from the western boundary of house number 400 in an easterly direction. 
Feature 2 of 8 – A flat-top road hump with tapered sides being 75mm high and 9m long, including 1.5m long / 1:20 ramps positioned from a point 6.5m southwest from the eastern boundary of house number 342 in a south-westerly direction.
Feature 3 of 8 – A set of 3 cushions with tapered sides separated by minimum 1m distances, each being 75mm high, 3.5m long and 1.6m wide, positioned from a point 7.5m southwest from the boundary between house numbers 302/304 in a south-westerly direction.
Feature 4 of 8 – A set of 2 cushions with tapered sides separated by a minimum 1m distance, each being 75mm high, 3.5m long and 1.6m wide, positioned from a point 19m west from the boundary between house numbers 288/286 in a westerly direction.
Feature 5 of 8 – A set of 3 cushions with tapered sides separated by minimum 0.9m distances, each being 75mm high, 3.5m long and 1.6m wide, positioned from a point 11.5 m east from the boundary between house numbers 262/264 in an easterly direction.
Feature 6 of 8 – A flat-top road hump with tapered sides being 75mm high and 9m long, including 1.5m long/ 1:20 ramps positioned from a point 8.5 m west from the boundary between house numbers 174/176 in a westerly direction.
Feature 7 of 8 – A flat-top road hump with tapered sides being 75mm high and 9m long, including 1.5m long/ 1:20 ramps positioned from a point 7 m east from the boundary between house numbers 156/158 in an easterly direction.
Feature 8 of 8 – A flat-top road hump with tapered sides being 75mm high and 9m long, including 1.5m long/ 1:20 ramps positioned from a point 11 m east from the boundary between house numbers 128/130 in an easterly direction.

A copy of the plan showing the locations and dimensions of the proposed traffic calming features, along with statements of reasons for proposing them, may be inspected at:-

If you wish to object to these proposed measures, you should send the grounds for your objection to:
