What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
 TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC145397435: The City of Manchester (Various Streets, Didsbury West Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Barlow Moor Road, Elm Road, Parkfield Road South, Linden Road, & Fielden Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed Locally. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway surface dressing. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 19th September 2025 to 5th October 2025. The order shall come into operation on 19th September 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 6th September 2025. 

ORDER NO. MCC145374412: The City of Manchester (Kingsway, Burnage Ward)(Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to make Kingsway One Way Northbound from Talbot Road to Moseley Road . The alternative routes for traffic will be: Moseley Road, Slade Lane, Burnage Lane, Mauldeth Road and Kingsway. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway surface dressing. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 17th September 2025 to 5th October 2025. The Order shall come into operation on 17th September 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
