North Walbottle Road - Prohibit Any Vehicular Traffic Due to New Developments and Increased Traffic in the Area

What is happening?

CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE (NORTH WALBOTTLE ROAD) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025 

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 4 September the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will be to prohibit any vehicular traffic from exceeding 30 miles per hour on North Walbottle Road between its junctions with Stamfordham Road and Hawthorn Terrace.

2. The order is required to reduce the speed of vehicles due to new developments and increased traffic in the area.

3. The Order will come into operation on the 9 September 2025 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, for up to 18 months.
