Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C42 (Part), Wilsford Cum Lake; from its junction with Hungerford Lane for a distance of approximately 950m in a northerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out fibre cabling and desilting works. Alternative route via C42 (unaffected length) – Stonehenge Road – High Street – A345 – High Post Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. B) High Street (Part), Durrington; from its junction with Windsor Road to its junction with Meads Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footways resurfacing and ironwork adjustment. Alternative route via Meads Road – Coronation Road – Buford Road – Windsor Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 for 3 days. C) C12 (Part), Bishopstone and Broad Chalke; from its junction with Flamstone Street to its property known as Stokes Farm to enable BT to carry out pole tests and associated works. Alternative route via C12 (unaffected length) – C64 – A30 – A36 – A3094 – C320 -C12 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 2 days. D) High Street (Part), Netheravon; from its junction with Lower Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a southerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out sewer connection and associated works. Alternative route via High Street (unaffected length) – Lower Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and the closure will be required until 24 October 2025. E) Butts Road (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with A345 for a distance of approximately 40m in a westerly direction to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas main replacement and associated works. Alternative route via Butts Road (unaffected length) – Ashley Road – A360 – A36 – A345 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and the closure will be required until 03 October 2025. For further information please contact FPF Utilities on 0237 6655141.

F) Stonehenge Road (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with Church Street for a distance of approximately 1109m in a westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. No alternative route is available; access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible. This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and the closure will be required between 03:00hrs and 23:59hrs for 4 days. G) C335 (Part), Winterslow; from its property known as Roche Court for a distance of approximately 100m in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out communication equipment and associated works. Alternative route via Clough Lane West – Clough Lane North – A30 – C335 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

H) Whiteshoot Road (Part), Odstock; from its junction with Odstock Road for a distance of approximately 1km in a southerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out tree and associated works. Alternative route via Whiteshoot Road (unaffected length) – Nunton Drive – Odstock Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 September 2025 and the closure will be required until 11 September 2025. For further information please contact Traffic Management Company on 01202 932332.

I) C296 (Part), West Tisbury; from its junction with C309 to its junction with C43 to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via C43 – C62 – C309 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. J) C64 (Part), Dinton; from its junction with B3089 to its junction with Snow Hill to enable Wessex Internet to carry out ducting and associated works. Alternative route via C64 (unaffected length) – C277 – B3089 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 September 2025 and the closure will be required for 5 days. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
