Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 5 September 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Lock Lane (D3744) Pyrford Woking.
Alternative Route – Wisley Lane, B2215 (Portsmouth Road and High Street), B367 (Newark Lane and Church Hill), Warren Lane and Pyrford Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate pole repair, pole testing, tree cutting and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 September 2025 for 1 day, between the hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Wych Hill Lane (A247) Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
On 10 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Wych Hill Lane (A247) Woking as extends from its access to the property known as “Alverstone Lodge to its junction with (X4012) Turnoak Avenue; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Wych Hill Lane (A247) Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. This Order is required to facilitate a safe working zone for mains water connection works and/or maintenance works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and suspension, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, all other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route. No sole access is affected by this closure. Alternative Route: (A247) Kingfield Road, (B380) Vicarage Road, (B380) Westfield Road, (B380) Guildford Road, and (A320) Egley Road, or this route in reverse.
Queens Road (D3604) Knaphill Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above- mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Queens Road (D3604) Knaphill Woking as extends from the western boundary of the property known as “10 Queens Road” to the eastern boundary of the property known as “14 Queens Road”.
Alternative Route – Broadway, High Street and Lower Guildford Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Barr Engineering Services to facilitate pole replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 October 2025 for 1 day, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
D3782 Martyrs Lane, Woodham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3782 Martyrs Lane, Woodham that extends from its junction with A245 Woodham Lane, for a distance of 100m. This Traffic Order is required to enable Cadent Gas/OMJ to carry out gas mains replacement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 7pm within 4 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route:- Martyrs Lane, Chertsey Road and Woodham Lane.
