Hyden Wood (East Meon Road), East Meon, East Hampshire - Temporary Road Closure due to fibre optic cabling
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Hyden Wood (East Meon Road) between its junction with Clanfield Road and a point approximately 280 Metres South-East of its junction with Green Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Hyden Farm Lane, Clanfield Road, Hambledon Road, South Lane
DURATION OF ORDER: from 22nd September 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 5 days, working between the hours 07:00 – 19:00).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for CCN Communications to carry out excavation for the installation of fibre optic cabling. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: enquries@ccncommunications.co.uk
CCN Communications will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
