What is happening?

C5B - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (C5b, near Longside – 16.09.25) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2025” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The order will operate from 16.09.25 for 7 days and will prohibit any person from driving on the on the C5b, near Longside from New House to Ugie Lodge.
Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety during ducting works. An alternative route is available via the C5b, C32b, C28b, C27b, C5b and vice vera.
