Folkestone and Hythe, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?
HIGHWAYS
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
B2011 Dover Hill, Folkestone (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 30MPH speed limit on through traffic on part of B2011 Dover Hill, Folkestone, on or after 29th September 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
B2011 Dover Hill will have a mandatory 30MPH speed limit imposed on the Westbound carriageway only, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only.
The speed limit will be imposed from the junction of Crete Road East to A260 Hill Road Roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Burmarsh Road, Dymchurch, TN29 0LX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Burmarsh Road, Dymchurch, on or after 19th September 2025 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Green Bushes, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Burmarsh Road, Donkey Street, Lower Wall Road, Botolphs Bridge Road, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Hythe Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Jefferstone Lane, St Marys Bay, TN29 0XS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Jefferstone Lane, St Marys Bay, on or after 17th September 2025 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 2, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Jefferstone Lane, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 High Street, Mill Road, St Marys Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Jurys Gap Road & Tourney Road, Lydd, TN29 9BE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Jurys Gap Road & Tourney Road, Lydd, on or after 17th September 2025 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.
Phase 1 - Jurys Gap Road will be closed from 17th September 2025, with estimated completion by 22nd September 2025, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The road will be closed from outside number 2 to the junction of Tourney Road, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only.
Phase 2 - Tourney Road will be closed from 23rd September 2025, with estimated completion by 30th September 2025.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Jurys Gap Road and Galloways Road, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, B2075 High Street, B2075 Station Road, Harden Road, Dungeness Road Roundabout, Robin Hood Lane and vice versa.
The alternative route for any HGV through traffic is via Robin Hood Lane, Dungeness Road Roundabout, Harden Road, B2075 Station Road, B2075 Romney Road, A259 Lydd Road, A259 Rhee Wall, A259 Straight Lane, A259 Brookland Bypass, A259 Rye Road, A259 Guildford Road, A259 Folkestone Road, Camber Road, New Lydd Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Teddars Leas Road, Etchinghill, CT18 8DA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Teddars Leas Road, Etchinghill, on or after 15th September 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Middlefield Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Teddars Leas Road, Canterbury Road, Broad Street, Station Road, Canterbury Road, Beresforstal Hill, Shuttlesfield Lane, From Tanbarn Road Junction With Mackie Lane To Acrise Park Road Junction With Shuttlesfield Lane, Tan Barn Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
