Cumberland - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works

(VARIOUS ROADS IN THE CUMBERLAND COUNCIL AREA)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.13) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.

Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 23 September 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for as stated in the schedule and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

SCHEDULE

EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

1. U2207 Lorton – From 23 September 2025 for approx. 5 days

(Ref: TTROC/15673)

From its junction with the U2199, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 480m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U2207, B5292, B5289 Church Lane and the U2199.

2. U2197 Pardshaw – From 23 September 2025 for approx. 3 days

(Ref: TTROC/15695)

From a point approx. 300m south east of its junction with the A5086, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 165m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U2197 and the A5086 Peppercoats Brow.

3. U7001 Brackenthwaite – From 30 September 2025 for approx. 1 week

(Ref: TTROC/15683)

From its junction with the C2030 to its junction with the B5289.

Alternative Route: via the B5289 and the C2030.

4. U2195 Mosser – From 30 September 2025 for approx. 4 days

(Ref: TTROC/15688)

From its junction with the C2030, extending in a north westerly direction for its entire length.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

5. U2192 Eaglesfield – From 6 October 2025 for approx. 2 days

(Ref: TTROC/15687)

From its junction with the C2027, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 70m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U2192 and the C2027 Hotchberry Brow.

6. U2192 Eaglesfield – From 14 October 2025 for approx. 3 days

(Ref: TTROC/15690)

From its junction with the C2027, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 250m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U2192, C2027 and Hotchberry Brow.

7. U2173 Dovenby – From 16 October 2025 for approx. 4 days

(Ref: TTROC/15698)

From its junction with the A594, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 40m.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.
