Madeira Road - Temporary Prohibition of Cycling, Parking, Waiting, Loading & Unloading

What is happening?

PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL 

THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH (MADEIRA ROAD (CYCLE LANE/PARKING)) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF CYCLING, PARKING, WAITING, LOADING & UNLOADING) ORDER 2025 

NOTICE is hereby given that Plymouth City Council acting under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intend to make an Order the effect of which is: 

1. To close the cycle lane on: - Madeira Road - for its entirety 

2. To prohibit the parking, waiting, loading & unloading of vehicles in: - Madeira Road - between Elphinstone Car Park and Duttons Café

The prohibition of cycling, parking, waiting, loading & unloading will be in operation on the days and during the hours that the appropriate traffic signs are displayed. The Order shall come into force on 6th October 2025 and shall continue in force for a maximum of 18 months

It is anticipated that the fence works will commence on the 6th October 2025 until 31st October 2025 24hrs
