What is happening?
Renfrewshire Council
The Renfrewshire Council has made the undernoted Orders in terms of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The Renfrewshire Council (Old Greenock Road (50mph Speed Limit)
& (Drumcross Road) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2025
Ref TRO 435
The Renfrewshire Council (Rural Section, Between A761 and Kilbarchan, Branscroft)
(30 mph Speed Limit) & (Revocation) Order 2025
Ref TRO 467
The Orders, will come into operation on the 8th September 2025 and were advertised in the Paisley & Renfrewshire Gazette on Wednesday 12th March 2025. The effect of the Orders being as stated in the said notice. Copies of the Order and map relative thereto are available for inspection on the Tell Me Scotland Website for 6 weeks from 2nd September 2025 Ref (TRO 435 & TRO 467).
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by Section 51 of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2019, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the 29th August 2025, apply to the Court of Session for this purpose
