What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Bampton, Mount Owen Road

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 15 September 2025

Coming into force: 23 September 2025

This Order is being introduced because of water meter and ducting works which are anticipated to be completed on 30 September 2025. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in a short section of Mount Owen Road north of its junction with New Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

The alternative route for traffic is via the B4449 to Standlake – A415 to Ducklington – A4095 Curbridge to Lew – Station Road, Bampton and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: RAG/T16114)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Combe, Akeman Street

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 15 September 2025

Coming into force: 22 September 2025

This Order is being introduced because of drainage improvement works which are anticipated to be completed on 3 October 2025. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the section of Akeman Street between Church Walk and Stonesfield Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

The alternative route for traffic is via Akeman Street – B4437 – A44 – A4095 – Swan Ln – Robin Hill – Church Walk and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16124/RAG)
