Introduction Of Taxi Rank In Freemasons Road E16 - The Newham (Custom House) (Parking Places) (No. 1, 2017) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*

The Newham (Prohibition of Stopping on Taxi Rank) (No. *) Order 202*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham ('the Council') proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be to introduce a taxi rank for two vehicles outside Nos. 9-11 Freemasons Road. The taxi rank would replace 12 metres of pay-by-phone parking at that location.

3. Further information may be obtained by telephoning 020 8430 2000.

4. Documents and a plan giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders can be made available during normal office hours on Monday to Friday by emailing: traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk, by telephoning 020 3373 6415, or inspected (by prior appointment - please telephone the above number) at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, E16 2QU, until six weeks after the date on which the Orders are made or until the proposed Orders are withdrawn, as appropriate.

5. All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Orders must be made in writing and received by 24th September 2025. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. They should be sent to: The Acting Director of Highways, Parking & Transportation, London Borough of Newham, 3rd Floor West, Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, London, E16 2QU, or by email to: traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk.

6. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any letter or email sent to the Council in response to this Notice may be subject to publication or disclosure, or both, including communication to other persons affected.
