Irton, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C4030 IRTON, NEAR SANTON BRIDGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the C4030 Irton, near Santon Bridge, from its junction with the C4025 Kirklands, extending in an overall easterly direction for approx. 2.8km to its junction with the C4026, Bowerhouse Bank.
A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the C4026 Bowerhouse Bank, and the C4025 Kirklands.

The Order will come into operation on 22 September 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 9 days between 0900 and 1700 hours, each day and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
