What is happening?
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, BOROUGH OF SWALE)
(WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES)
(CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT No.23) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the KENT COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make an Order under sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the named Order is:-
(a) In Grace Road, Sheerness, it is proposed to install new double yellow lines around and opposite entrances to industrial units and on the junction of New Road, to maintain safe vehicle access
(b) It is proposed to install a new, or formalise the existing, disabled persons’ parking bay outside 54 Albany Road, 88 Park Road, 40 Charlotte Street, 43 Bayford Road, 22 Springfield Road, and 59 Chatsworth Drive in Sittingbourne, 15 Playstool Close in Newington, 54 Orchard View in Teynham, 43 Makenade Avenue in Faversham, 176 Minster Road in Minster-on-Sea, 105 Anne Boleyn Close and 63 High Street in Eastchurch, and 14 James Street in Sheerness
(c) It is proposed to remove redundant disabled persons’ parking bay outside 36 Swanstree Avenue in Sittingbourne, and 33 Harold Street in Queenborough.
The Order will include some changes of an administrative matter which will make no alterations to existing parking and waiting restrictions and will require no changes to existing parking lines or signs.

Representations supporting or objecting to the proposed Order (your objection must explain the impact on traffic in the locality to be valid) can be sent in writing to Engineers@swale.gov.uk or by post to the Engineering Team, Leisure & Technical Services, Council Offices, Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 3HT by 12 noon on Friday 17th October 2025.
