Bridge Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Flood Barrier Training

What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - BRIDGE ROAD, BOLDRE, NEW FOREST

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Bridge Road between its junction with Undershore Road and its junction with Almansa Way.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Marsh Lane, A337, Boldre Lane, Rope Hill, Pilley Hill, School Lane, Undershore Road.

DURATION OF ORDER: from Tuesday 16th September 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day working between the hours 23:00-04:00).

The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Environment Agency to complete flood barrier training exercise. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: SSDEnquiries@environment-agency.gov.uk.
