Westmorland Road North - Prohibition All Vehicular Traffic For Works
What is happening?

(BACK WESTMORLAND ROAD NORTH) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 28 August 2025 the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on Back Westmorland Road North, from its junction with Blandford Square for 37 metres in a Westerly direction.
2. There is no alternative route for traffic.
3. The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for vehicles engaged in the said works.
5. The Order will come into operation on 15 September 2025 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to 15 March 2027 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
