Market Way, Ormskirk - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic to Allow Emergency Carriageway Repair Works to Be Carried Out
What is happening?
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (MARKET WAY, ORMSKIRK, WEST LANCASHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any class of traffic to proceed over that length of Market Way, Ormskirk from its junction Aughton Street for a distance of 25 metres in a easterly direction.
2. Nothing in this notice shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 1601 hours on Friday 22nd August 2025 until 1600 hours on Tuesday 2nd September 2025 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. A diversion will be signed locally.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow emergency carriageway repair works to be carried out.
