Wembdon, Temporary Road Closures Due To Pre-Surface Dressing Patching Works

What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Wembdon Temporary Closure of Church Road, Blakes Road and Blakes Lane

Somerset Council In exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Church Road - from the junction with Wembdon Hill, for its entirety; Blakes Road - from the junction with Church Road, for its entirety; and Blakes Lane -from the junction with Hollow Lane, for its entirety A total distance of 1213 metres. This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out pre-surface dressing patching works on behalf of Somerset Highways. Solid diamond symbolization will be used on the diversion route and will not clash with any other Kiely Bros works within the area.

The Order becomes effective on 16th September 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 22nd September 2025 and last until 26th September 2025 between the hours of 07:00 -19:00 for a total of 5 days.
