What is happening?

OLDHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

THE OLDHAM TOWN CENTRE PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES & PROHIBITION OF WAITING ORDER 2025

The Oldham Borough Council on 5th September 2025 made a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit vehicles from proceeding or waiting any time on:- Henshaw Street -from a point 37m south of its junction with St Mary’s Way in a Southerly direction for its full extent.
Market Place - its full extent
High Street- its full extent
Curzon Street - its full extent
Albion Street - its full extent

The Order is to be made for public safety during Town Centre highway works and will be in force for a maximum period of 18 months from 5th September 2025, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
