(MAES YR HAF ROAD, NEATH) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary to enable Network Rail to carry out essential railway bridge maintenance works in the road.
The Order will come into force on the 22th September 2025 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated that the works will take 1 night to complete between the hours of 11pm and 6am.
SCHEDULE
Maes Yr Haf Road, Neath will be closed from its junction with Windsor Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 70m along its length.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via The Parade, Croft Road, Riverside Drive, Prince of Wales Drive, Gnoll Park Road, St Davids Street, Orchard Street, London Road and Alford Street.
Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
