Haytons Bent, Ludlow - Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions
What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S -
PUBLIC NOTICES OF INTENTION
NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“the Council”) intend, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of road/s as stated below. The Order/s for restriction is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exceptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises
having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.
By reason of the likelihood of danger to the public, It is intended that the proposed restriction/s will come into force on the 15th September 2025 and, and due to the Council being satisfied that the execution of remedial works to make safe will exceed an eighteen month period, will continue in force until any said works, which it is proposed to be carried out, have been completed. Whereupon, and at the same time, the temporary order shall be revoked.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road west of Haytons Bent
Date & Duration: 15th September 2025 for 152 days
Purpose: Road Closure due to damaged carriageway
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North East, Scrimridge Lane, Unnamed road South, Unnamed road South West towards Hopton Cangeford
