What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN BRAMFIELD ROAD, DATCHWORTH/BULLS GREEN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bramfield Road, Datchworth/Bulls Green from its junction with Datchworth Green south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Queen Hoo Lane, a distance of approximately 1487m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Watton Road, Station Road, High Street, Ware Road, A119 (Hertford Road/High Road/North Road), Bramfield Road, Tattle Hill, Main Road, Winding Hill and Bramfield Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MUSLEY HILL AND REDAN ROAD, WARE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Musley Hill, Ware from a point 16m south west of its junction with Redan Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m.

An alternative route will be via Musley Hill, Homefield Road, High Oak Road and Musley Hill.

2. that length of Redan Road, Ware from its junction with Musley Hill north westwards for a distance of approximately 36m.

An alternative route will be via Musley Hill, Homefield Road, High Oak Road and Redan Road or via Musley Hill, High Oak Road and Redan Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHURCH LANE, WORMLEY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Lane, Wormley from a point 139m north west of its junction with The Croft north westwards for a distance of approximately 479m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Church Lane, A1170 High Road, Bell Lane, Baas Hill, Spring Walk and Church Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 25 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN B158 (UNNAMED ROAD), ESSENDON/B158 LOWER HATFIELD ROAD, LITTLE BERKHAMSTED/ESSENDON AND B158 HORNS MILL ROAD, HERTFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B158 (unnamed road), Essendon/B158 Lower Hatfield Road, Little Berkhamsted/Essendon and B158 Horns Mill Road, Hertford from its junction with B1455 Holwell Lane north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with B158 Bullocks Lane, a distance of approximately 5529m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B1455 Holwell Lane, A414 (Hatfield Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way) and B158 (Hale Road/Pegs Lane/Bullocks Lane).

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DARK LANE, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Dark Lane, Cheshunt from its junction with Cromwell Avenue southwards to its junction with Barrow Lane, a distance of approximately 105m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Cromwell Avenue, Bury Green Road and Dark Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BARWICK ROAD, STANDON) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Barwick Road, Standon from a point 950m south west of its junction with Dowsetts Lane south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Barwick Road, A120 Standon Hill, Ermine Street, Gore Lane and Barwick Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 25 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN LONGCROFT DRIVE, WALTHAM CROSS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Longcroft Drive, Waltham Cross from its junction with A121 Eleanor Cross Road south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and north westwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A121 Eleanor Cross Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE A10 SOUTHBOUND SLIP ROAD LEADING FROM A414 RUSH GREEN ROUNDABOUT, WARE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the A10 southbound slip road leading from A414 Rush Green roundabout, Ware from its junction with the A414 Rush Green roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the south eastbound carriageway of A10 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 674m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road), the B1001 Westmill Road/A602 Westmill Road roundabout and A10 (unnamed road).

The Order is needed because bridge works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN PARK LANE, WALTHAM CROSS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Park Lane, Waltham Cross from its junction with Sturlas Way south westwards, north westwards, south westwards and north westwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Sturlas Way, A121 Monarchs Way, A1010 Monarchs Way, Lodge Crescent, Cameron Drive, Hurst Drive and Raglan Avenue.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN RIVERSMEET AND ON THE WESTBOUND CARRIAGEWAY OF A414 HERTINGFORDBURY ROAD, HERTFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Riversmeet, Hertford from its junction with A414 Hertingfordbury Road south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 220m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. the westbound carriageway of A414 Hertingfordbury Road, Hertford from its junction with the A119 Cross Lane roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 165m.

An alternative route will be via A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way/London Road/Rush Green Link), A10 (unnamed road), A602 (Westmill Road/Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road/Watton at Stone Bypass/Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way), B197 (Monkswood Way/London Road/Stevenage Road/London Road/Mardley Hill/Great North Road), A1000 (Welwyn By Pass Road/Hertford Road/Bessemer Road/Mundells/Bessemer Road/Broadwater Road/Chequers) and A414 (Hertford Road/Hatfield Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hertingfordbury Road) or via A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hatfield Road/Hertford Road), A1000 (Hertford Road/Chequers/Broadwater Road/Bessemer Road/Mundells/Bessemer Road/Hertford Road/Welwyn By Pass Road), B197 (Great North Road/Mardley Hill/London Road/Stevenage Road/London Road/Monkswood Way), A602 (Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross/Watton at Stone Bypass/Ware Road/Tonwell Bypass/Westmill Road), A10 (unnamed road) and A414 (Rush Green Link/London Road/Gascoyne Way/Hertingfordbury Road) or via A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way/London Road/Rush Green Link), A10 (unnamed road), A602 (Westmill Road/Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road/Watton at Stone Bypass/Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way), A1(M) and A414 (Great North Road/Hertford Road/Hatfield Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hertingfordbury Road) or via A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hatfield Road/Hertford Road/Mount Pleasant Lane/Great North Road), the A1(M), A602 (Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross/Watton at Stone Bypass/Ware Road/Tonwell Bypass/Westmill Road), A10 (unnamed road) and A414 (Rush Green Link/London Road/Gascoyne Way/Hertingfordbury Road).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 8 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TRINITY LANE, WALTHAM CROSS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Trinity Lane, Waltham Cross from a point 72m south east of its junction with Central Avenue south eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed to give a railroad vehicle access/egress onto the track near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 6 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A1170 Wadesmill Road, Ware from its junction with Poles Lane south eastwards to its junction with the A1170 Baldock Street/B1001 Watton Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 600m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A1170 (Baldock Street/High Street/Bridge Foot/Viaduct Road/London Road/Amwell Hill/Pepper Hill), A10 (Amwell Link Road/unnamed road) and A1170 Wadesmill Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 9 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

An alternative route will be via B1037 (unnamed road), A507 Baldock Road, A10 (Buntingford Bypass/Puckeridge to Buntingford/Puckeridge Bypass/Wadesmill Bypass/unnamed road), A602 (Westmill Road/Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road/Watton At Stone Bypass/Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way/Monkswood Way), A1155 (St Georges Way/Fairlands Way) and B1037 (Fairlands Way/Stevenage Road/High Street/White Hill).

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Foxholes Avenue, Hertford from its junction with B1502 Stanstead Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 262m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of B1502 Stanstead Road, Hertford from the A119 Ware Road/Rowleys Road roundabout south eastwards to its junction with Constables Way, a distance of approximately 194m.

An alternative route will be via A119 Ware Road, A414 (London Road/Rush Green Link) and B1502 Stanstead Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 8 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C14 (unnamed road), Ardeley from a point in line with the western boundary of ‘Hornbeam House’ south eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via C14 (unnamed road), Moor Green Road, C14 (unnamed road), B1037 (White Hill/High Street), High Street, Benington Road, Walkern Road, Town Lane, Whempstead Road, Whempstead Lane, Munden Road, C16 Great Munden, Mentley Lane and C14 (unnamed road).

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CAPPELL LANE, STANSTEAD ABBOTTS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cappell Lane, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with Abbotts Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 120m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Cappell Lane, B181 (High Street/Station Road), Amwell Lane, Lower Road, A1170 (London Road/Viaduct Road/Bridge Foot), B1004 (Star Street/Widbury Hill), Hollycross Road and Cappell Lane.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility cover is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
