Goodacre Street And Pelham Street - Temporary Prohibition of Driving To Repair A Wastewater Pipe
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(GOODACRE STREET AND PELHAM STREET, MANSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025 (M25-083)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Mansfield in the District of Mansfield
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Goodacre Street, Mansfield - From its junction with Pelham Street in a north easterly direction for 30 metres
b. Pelham Street, Mansfield - From a point 40 metres south east of its junction with Recreation Street for a distance of 40 metres in a south easterly direction
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours Monday 15th September 2025
Until 17:00 hours Tuesday 23rd September 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Newgate Lane - Ratcliffe Gate - Elm Tree - Recreation Street - Goodacre Street and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 15th September 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Severn Trent Water to excavate the carriageway to repair a wastewater pipe;
